My Fiance went in to have a root canal done in Jan. We were advised that the amount we were going to have to pay would be about 625.00. We paid the amount (which was all the money we had), the office manager stated that she called his insurance this would be the amount he would owe. A few weeks later we got a bill in the mail for an additional 415.50. Come to find out we were out of network. We called the office on 3 way and stated that we didn't feel that we owed this amount, because we were never told we were out of network. The office manager got on the phone, and stated that " we never asked". I told her that when she called the insurance on Dec. 31, they told her "we were out of network", and while sitting in the office, she called another patient and advised them that "they were out of network and that they needed to find someone in network". The office manager then became very defensive. I asked to speak with someone else and she told me "the buck stops here", and hung up on us. We sent a payment of 5.00 because that is all we could afford, and the office manager sent it back and stated that they were not going to accept the amount. We sent another payment of 20.00 with a letter, on what would be affordable for us to pay each month, and they are now threatening us with attorney fees and court cost. I would NEVER recommend this office to anyone.
